Option 1-Academic Support:

    Assistance with planning, structuring, and refining undergraduate dissertations, including help with topic focus, literature reviews, methodology design, and interpretation of findings.

  • Research Skills Coaching
    Support with understanding research methods, ethics applications, and building research proposals.

  • Study Skills Development
    Techniques for time management, critical thinking, academic reading, note-taking, and exam preparation.

  • Presentation and Communication Skills
    Coaching to build confidence in delivering academic presentations or viva-style assessments.

  • Critical Reflection Support
    Help with writing reflective essays or portfolios, especially important for healthcare students.

  • *Single session (1 hour, healthcare tutor): £60

    Sessions are usually delivered online. However, face-to-face sessions in a public space can be arranged following prior consultation.

    • If you are planning to book several sessions over a few weeks, you will receive a free 30-minute introductory meeting with your tutor. This gives you a chance to get to know each other, discuss your assignment, and review the learning outcomes.

  • *Read and review up to 500 words with constructive feedback and comments on how well the work meets the assignment outcomes: £35.

    *Read and review up to 1000 words with constructive feedback and comments on how well the work meets the assignment outcomes*: £60

    *For work over 1000 words: An additional £12 per 500-word block will be charged.

    • Please note: Students must provide the assessment brief or assignment learning outcomes when submitting work for review

Option 2 - Retrieval Support

Retrieval Assignment Support
Immediate and focused help for students who are required to resubmit assignments or complete retrieval work, often as a final attempt on their course or programme. We provide structured, compassionate guidance to help students meet academic standards, rebuild their confidence, and move forward positively in their academic journey.

  • *Single session (1 hour, healthcare tutor): £60

    Sessions are usually delivered online. However, face-to-face sessions in a public space can be arranged following prior consultation.

    • For retrieval assessment support it is recommended to book several sessions over a suitable time period. When booking you will receive a free 30-minute introductory meeting with your tutor. This gives you a chance to get to know each other, discuss your assignment, and review the learning outcomes.

Option 3 - Research Support for Healthcare Professionals and Researchers

Data Collection Support
Guidance and practical support for qualitative and quantitative data collection across healthcare settings.

  • Data Analysis Services
    Expert support in analysing your data using industry-standard software, including:

    • SPSS for quantitative statistical analysis

    • NVivo for qualitative data analysis

    Support in structuring, managing, and interpreting research projects, including dissertations, audits, service evaluations, and improvement projects.

    Detailed feedback on data interpretation, findings presentation, and research reporting to meet academic and professional standards.

    • *Level 2 Services (Data collection, transcription services, proofreading documents): £25 per hour

    • *Level 3 Services (Data analysis and brief report writing): £28 per hour

Terms and Conditions

  • Terms and Conditions – The Scholars' Network

    1. Service Overview

    The Scholars' Network provides academic and research support services, including one-to-one tutoring, guidance on academic writing, and assistance with research tools such as SPSS and NVivo. These services may be delivered by our core team or by freelance tutors working on our behalf.

    2. Disclaimer of Academic Outcomes

    While we strive to offer high-quality, tailored academic support, The Scholars' Network makes no guarantees regarding academic results. This includes, but is not limited to, specific grades, pass marks, or university outcomes. All tutoring is intended to support independent learning. Responsibility for academic performance remains solely with the student.

    3. Freelance Tutors

    We may assign freelance tutors to deliver support sessions. All freelance tutors are selected for their experience and expertise; however, they are not employees of The Scholars' Network and operate under these same terms and conditions.

    4. Payment Terms

    All sessions must be paid for in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment details will be shared via invoice or our online booking platform. Failure to pay may result in cancellation or suspension of scheduled sessions.

    5. *Cancellations and Refunds

    • Once payment has been received, you may reschedule a session provided you give at least 24 hours’ notice.

    • If you cancel a session after payment, a refund will not be issued, regardless of the reason.

    • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable and non-transferable.

    • Refunds for pre-paid blocks of sessions may be considered on a case-by-case basis but are not guaranteed.

    6. Code of Conduct

    Students are expected to engage respectfully and professionally during all interactions. The Scholars' Network reserves the right to suspend or terminate services if inappropriate or disruptive behaviour occurs.

    7. Intellectual Property

    All resources, including notes, slides, and materials provided by The Scholars' Network or its tutors, are for personal academic use only. These materials may not be copied, distributed, or reused without written permission.

    8. Data Protection

    We collect and store only the information necessary to deliver our services in line with GDPR. Personal data is not shared with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

    9. Use of Services

    By booking or engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
